Inspired by Avery Gordon, this archive takes on the inquiry of play to the margins where play's native inhibitions and collaborators are: children. Mirroring much of how children play, this archive gathers imaginary and real "infrastructure for intellectual work" (Gordon, 2018). This archive serves a research-based practice to develop and sustain children as collaborative knowledge workers with other intellectual workers.

 

This achieve, much like the Hawthorn Archive, takes on a form that is neither quite academic nor artistic, but something in-between. It challenges us to push our imaginations of a human flourishing world through the resistive, subversive intellectual and thus defiant activity of children's play, in the past and in the present. This archive is a map of unfinished ideas, where dormant ideas wait to be rediscovered.
