Hello, I'm Priscilla!

I am an interdiscplinary scholar,  and educator who works in the intersection of philosophy, cultural theory and childhood. I am interested to understand and expand what it means to be human thrust into the unknown, through the lens of children and contemporary philosophy. I draw on Deweyan pragmatism and the concept of "becoming not-yet" as a horizon of becoming. I investigate how education, as an ideological state apparatus, seek to secure a predetermine futures under the guise of a constructivist project, and what is lost ethically, politically, and existentially over the course of a life. Tracing these dynamics across classrooms, public discourse, and everyday encounters, my work advances a politics of possibility that reopens the world to forms of becoming that cannot be controlled, only lived-with.​​
